The Data Key is a studio in Leuven, Belgium. Contact: info@thedatakey.co. We are the controller for the data you send us through this website.

Through the form: your name, company, email address, mobile number (if you fill it in), trade, number of quotes per month and your message. In addition, technical data needed to show the site and keep out spam, such as your IP address and browser details.

To answer your request and plan your quote check: these are steps you ask for yourself before any contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). To protect the website and the form against abuse: our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We don't send you newsletters or advertising without your consent.

Some of these parties are based in the United States. Transfers take place under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We never sell data.

As long as needed to handle your request. If no collaboration follows, we delete your data after 12 months.

QuoteKey follows up quotes on behalf of installers. If you received such a message, that installer is responsible for your data (the controller). The Data Key processes it on their behalf as a processor, only to follow up their quote. This covers your name, contact details, the quote details and your messages. We use them for nothing else and never sell them. No more messages? Reply STOP. Want to see your data or have it deleted? Ask the installer, or email info@thedatakey.co; we pass your request on at once and help them answer it.

You can access your data, have it corrected or deleted, restrict its processing, object, and have it transferred. Email info@thedatakey.co; we reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Belgium, dataprotectionauthority.be) or the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Netherlands, autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

We update this policy when the way we work changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
